Meilleur Ami: The one whom we share many memories with...

As George Washington rightly said, " Friendship is a plant of slow growth and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation".
Friendship is a gift that is bestowed upon all of us to cherish. It is a special connection between us and others whom we get to know as we continue our journey in this world. Friends who help us out in all the intricate moments and to overcome the adversest challenges in our adventure in this life. With whom we share our experiences and all the things, good or bad happened with us.

Our lives are a wonderful and enjoyable experience cause of these friends...
They always have our back even though they enjoy annoying us.
So, I'll tell you about my experience, of my life with these crazy friends of mine.

Since I was an introvert, I had a lot of difficulty opening up to others and making new friends. Our family moved from place to place a lot, due to my parent's job transfers, so it was really a difficult task to make new friends every single time. Then I shifted to Pune, India with my parents and we have been staying here for 7 yrs, in between which we had also moved to Mumbai for a year. In this duration, I have made a lot of friends. It makes me really proud to say this, 'I have made a lot of friends and am also making an effort to opening up o others.' I am becoming more of an extrovert day by day, though some of the people I know, tend to say otherwise.

So, going on with our conversation...
I have got many friends and a lot more annoying comments to hear from them every day. As you all know my name is Idhaa(which is only used formally nowadays), my friends have started giving me nicknames of their own choice. I have almost 5 different names now(don't judge, will tell the story behind each one of them) -
1. Ishu
2. Idli
3. Chapati
4. Idhaeee
5. Andheri
6.Edha

So, these are all the names I've been given till now, many more on the way( Just getting a feeling😅))... Now for the origin of these names...
1. Ishu is the nickname that my parents had given me when I was born. It doesn't really count but still. I don't really like this one because when said aloud it sounds exactly like "issue". So that made me a bit embarrassed by this one...
2. Idli: This nickname has a really funny story behind it. Got time to read??
If yes, so here goes... In our school, we have a Physical fitness exam, along with the other subject exams. So, our PE sir was going through the names of all students, and when he came to my name, he read it as "Idli"( a south Indian dish) instead of  "Idhaa". When I told him that it was actually "Idhaa", he said that at first when he looked at him, it looked like Idli. And so, most of my friends call me idli because they know I get annoyed by that nickname, even though I respond to it every single time.(P.S. I have secretly started calling that sir "Dosa"..😂)
3. Chapati was a nickname given to me when I was in Mumbai,  by one of my friends because of the fact that my surname kind of sounds similar to "Chapati". And then carried on to when I came back to Pune...
4th and 6th were nicknames just given by some of my friends randomly to irritate whenever they got a chance.
5. Andheri is actually a locality in West Mumbai. My best friend (🙄) started using this name for me. He annoys irritating me the most. Pulls at my rubberband for fun and calls me using these names. All of my nicknames in fact. So in return, I annoy him by saying "re" and "da", which for some reason really irritates him a lot. It kinda triggers his annoyed self for some reason and that makes me laugh. He is someone who can really make me laugh, but we do have fights and arguments a lot. But that is obviously supposed to happen a too.

So, this was how some of my friends made nicknames for me. But there are some other friends of mine, who only use my original name to talk to me and I thank them for it..🙂
Friends are really needed in our life. They make all the dull things cheer up. Annoyed when they use nicknames but also happy for another random reason. They take our side at times, and at times oppose what we wanna do. But even if we fight with them, they are the best.

My friends, for instance, have helped me out a lot. They have always been by my side for which I am very grateful. I will always be happy to help them in any way possible. They always listen to my problem. Each of them has their own speciality. Some always help me out with crush problems and all(😊), some others give me guitar lessons and also life lessons like not to be afraid of corona... Most of them help me to not get bored out of my mind during our classes, be it in school or in coaching classes.(If my friends are reading this do put your thoughts into the comments about what my friendship means to you and others do tell what friendship means to you all?).
Some of my friends are there online on Instagram be it at 2 am in the morning or whatnot. Some of my friends get angry if I start saying thank you for anything they have done for me, while others keep encouraging me to write more poetry, play guitar and also to continue writing novels as I used to(which unfortunately got deleted from my laptop because of some technical problems).

THANKS TO ALL YOU GUYS, YOU SHOWN ME SO MUCH LOVE AND I HOPE I CAN SHOW YOU ALL HOW GRATEFUL I AM FOR IT ALL...🥰😘

Life brings with it a lot of challenges,
Every one of them testing our abilities,
Seeing how we tackle the situations,
Our friends helping whenever we are lost,
There for us to help us move on.
